The Mental Health and Community Pharmacy Project is funded by the Australian
Government Department of Health as part of the Fifth Community
Pharmacy Agreement Research and Development Program managed by the
Pharmacy Guild of Australia.

Thanks to all pharmacies who have provided updated consumer recruitment numbers to the Mental Health Project team over the past week. Together we have now recruited 390 consumers to the Medication Support Intervention, and 160 consumers are in the Stage 5 Maintenance phase, nearly ready to fill out the final evaluation of the medication support service. Well done everyone!

A reminder to all participating pharmacies:  Once you have completed your participation in this stage of the project, the research team will be in touch to interview or survey you so that we can evaluate the Medication support service.  Your feedback in this final evaluation is highly valuable to us and will help us to improve the service for the future.  The survey will take no more than 10 minutes of your time and every pharmacist or staff member who completes this final survey will be entered into a draw to win one of three gift vouchers valued at $30 which can be redeemed at any Coles/Myer outlet.

There is still time to recruit and sign on more consumers to the Medication support service. Based on the results we have to date, we anticipate that on average a consumer’s involvement in the intervention is for 3 months duration.  Please feel free to offer more consumers the Medication Support service  at your pharmacy up to 1 July 2014. The Mental Health Project research team will need all consumer record folders completed and returned by 31 October 2014.
